Hi, I got a question (problem more like it).

On My Documents folder, I accidently changed the "My Music" folder icon. What happened was that there was this Album art.jpg file that shows the picture of the music file but I deleted that file and now the Music icon for the folder has been changed to standard (standard folder icon). Is there a way of changing "My Music" folder's icon from standard back to the icon with the little music logo?

I've tried my best to change it back but I am terrible with PC (especially Windows).

Does this make sense? I hope it does.

Right Click on the folder, and then click properties.

One of the buttons near the bottom will say "Change ICON". Click that and it will open a window with all of the ICON files on your machine.

Select the one you want, click apply, then exit back.

I've tried that and it doesn't work. There is no "Change Icon" for that.

This should work if not let us know, if it does work also let us know.

Right click on the desktop and click properties. You should have the display settings window open. Click on the Themes tab. Under themes pull down menu select windows xp. Click apply, make any other changes that you used to have in any other changes that you want normal and click okay.

I have a really irritating prob. Can you please help me? I'm so desperate.Every-s-often (always when I turn on my computer and open my Firefox browser) a box pops up about 5 times back-to-back.It says:title_n.firstChild has no properties
It just keeps popping up and popping up and each time I click on yes another pops up.THEN:it will FINALLY say something about if I want to stop the script on the page YES or NO and when I clk on YES,it FINALLY goes away for a while. But then eventually comes back later on.
I THINK it has something to do w/ my blog...maybe??but I've ran everything.Adaware/spybot/virus scan/...you name it.Done all the cleaning (Internet properties stuff) etc..It still drives me crazy popping up all the time, stopping me from typeing till I get rid of it.I'm desperate to get this sucker gone.Running Windows XP,Compaq...pretty new computer to be acting so nutty.lol
If u could please help me,I would be sooooo grateful.

Hi again,

I tried your suggestion but it didn't work. The problem is that when I right click on the My Music folder, I do not get the "Customize" tab that appears on other folders. For example, when I right-click on My Documents, I can change the icon. It is an odd thing but I have no idea how to change it.

Thats a tough one, sounds like a registry hack in need. Did you try searching Google? Do you have service pack 2?

Yes I have SP2. A registry hacking is something I thought I would need to do but I don't want to touch that since I am kinda of cluless on how to do that. Google doesn't offer much help. I thought I would try you first.

Sorry for the double post. I figured it out. If you need to restore your previous default icons, do this;

1. Click Start, click Run, and then type:

rundll32 mydocs.dll,PerUserInit

2. Click OK.

[ The command line parameter is case-sensitive, and the command has no return value. The user will not notified if the command has successfully executed or not ]

This command also restores the missing My Documents shortcut in the Send To menu.

I'm assuming you are a very busy man and don't have alot of time to answer questions.
Thanks for the offer anyways,
Sincerely,
Tammi

What the heck, I posted a possible solution to the firefox problem but for some reason it looks like it never got published. I want you to go to tools preferences or edit options in firefox depending on the version. Check the homepage and see if there are any wierd site added there instead of google or yahoo.com

Also go to tools extensions and check to see if there are any unwanted extensions, if so uninstall them.

If all of those fail. Try reinstalling firefox. There is a orange button on this site where you can download it.
